So here he is. My unofficial mascot, friend, and partner in crime…The Reverend Owl Sharpton.

Owl and I go back some deal of time. We crossed paths one fair Fall evening in Bozeman proper. See the cottonwoods dropping leaves a yellow; smell the crispening air. See me cutting a wide swath through a back yard; smell the flat Rainier spilling from my bottle. Now you’re getting there. I may or may not have had both shoes on. Anyhow, one misdemeanor later and this badass and I have been teaming up and hitting the roads with heads of steam since ’02. And ’0 the memories…Butte America, Glendo, Vegas, Havasu, Chicago and every burg betwixt have experienced our shenanigans. I do not know if the Reverend is in fact Irish, and frankly I am somewhat afraid to ask. I do know he got the hat from a motorized yard flamingo…that much is certain. Check the gallery for a few of his documented outings. Not only is the son of a bitch wise, but he is elusive to boot. Now feed that pheasant.

Well, it’s official. Thanks to the ultimate control provided by WordPress and the simplicity of a little plugin I like to call 4images, Bouncerblog.com now has a picture gallery. No upload yet, but at this rate this may just be the biggest site ever in a matter of days.

So we know we haven’t really done a whole lot lately with the site, but we actually have talked about it quite a bit. There are a lot of things we want to do, but most require one or both of us learning 3 or 4 programming languages from scratch, so that kinda sucks. I did figure out how to change the layout of the right side menus last night though. I was pretty impressed with myself. I pretty much took out lines of code one at a time and checked to see what weird things happened.

By the end of the weekend, we should have some pictures up in some kind of gallery. We have some good ones so far from various parties and such. We are also working on an upload script that will allow our faithful to hook us up with any of their own pictures that would be appropriate. (Appropriate is a very loose term here by the way.) Basically if you were drunk or there were girls around, that is bouncerblog.com material. I found a good template for this, so hopefully by next week this will be up and running.

Long story short…fight breaks out, Swanny hops the bar to swoon the female patrons, Griff wears one in the grill, Beam is consumed. Was “Billie Jean” playing during this altercation? Quite likely.

Did anyone else read the Chronicle today? There was a frontpage article suggesting that some politicians somewhere think Governor Brian Schweitzer is or should be a possible frontrunner for the democratic nomination in the next presidential election. WOW. You may not like the current president, but wow. I don’t currently have a close personal relationship with Montana’s first family like I did for many years, but everything I have seen from Schweitzer indicates that he is rude, arrogant, dishonest, disrespectful, and not overly intelligent. People might say some of the same things about Bush, but Schweitzer takes it to a completely different level, especially in the arrogance department. For me, that kind of arrogance puts you at the absolute bottom of the list. Schweitzer really could learn a few lessons from his predecessor (sorry, not Martz, she doesn’t count in my book). Maybe it would turn out alright though: the democrats go with Hillary or Schweitzer, the GOP gets another term.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. 2 days live with almost zero content and I already have to moderate the comments…What is that about?? I mean I haven’t even said anything yet that could be construed as overtly critical of my liberal brethren. I guess we must have some fans though because new user Pit Chfork (creative huh?) already left us 3 comments. The best one so far was his/her suggestion to “Eat shit and die.” I’m on it.

Maybe we should go ahead and get a couple things out of the way before we actually start turning this site into the culmination of our creative vision. Just in case you didn’t know this, Joe and I made this site and we completely control what happens with it. You can post all you want, but if you bother us or we don’t like your comments, they will disappear. Go ahead and disagree or dispute, but be intelligent about it. Let’s have some fun. I’m positive pitchfork isn’t a 2-bit script kiddie that can hack our site, but instead just a friend being funny. I can appreciate funny, and Joe and I will no doubt get a real kick out of ourselves while messing with the site, but lets all try and keep it somewhat mature so I don’t have to start banning. There. I’ll step down from my soapbox now.

By next week we should have a lot more content up, so make us a part of your daily routine.
