Gout Files: 9/16

Kate and I went to all-you-can-eat-crab night at Looies last night…I’m 90% sure I overdid it. Not only from the standpoint of what is and is not socially acceptable to consume in a public setting, but more from the angle that I have gout, and this crap is horrible for my body. delicous little bastards So right now, my bloodstream is the site of a strange battle between ibuprofen and acids trying their best to crystalize. My toe is about 5000 degrees, but pain-free thus far. Godspeed, brave ibuprofen. Godspeed.

Reptile Files: 9/16

This snake was discovered in China. It has a leg, which is just great. I’m getting pretty tired of these muthafuckin legs on this muthafuckin snake

Taxation with Representation

This is pretty awesome… …looks about right …playing a little solitaire…listening to a little drivel. All in all, pretty good day at work. With Obama’s popularity down to 45% and this shit going down on the House floor, we might not bankrupt ourselves after all. Special shout out the Representative watching the baseball game on the left. Nice work on the MLB.com package.

Dominick Dunne, Deceased

Power, Privilege, and Justice…I think Dominick Dunne passed away today. He was the host of an obscure show that often followed Forensic Files. He will be sorely missed by some, I imagine. I will miss his funny glasses.

Microsoft Faux Pas

This is pretty ridiculous…and funny. Apparently the Polish hate black people. Microsoft posted this on the English site… from the English site… …and this bad boy on their Polish site: …and from the Polish site. They must not have Photoshop over at the Microsoft campus. I could see how making that little swap-er-oo could be difficult using MS Paint. They could at very least have used the spray paint tool to lighten up the dude’s hand…just a suggestion.

Stereotype…Strengthened!

Our horribly inept mailman (same guy who crammed my RAM upgrade under our doormat) mistook Grand Ave for 3rd. Ave and dropped off a copy of a video game magazine in our mailbox. For what it is worth, it is no Nintendo Power. The only real amusing thing was the advertisements, especially the full-page job across from the contents page… directed advertising? Seems sort of presumptuous on the advertisors behalf…

I’m Not Mad, I’m Just Disapointed.

This tattoo is in memory of the tattoo-ee’s deceased grandmother. RIP, Mom Mom. Just a hunch, but I would guess that she would not approve of either tattoos or video games, let alone video game/memorial tattoos.

President Obaman

President Obama (note the lack of “n”) is speaking in Bozeman tonight. Craigslist is full of people looking to buy tickets, much like this fucking retard… president obaman?

Really? Really???

Yet in an interview with the Detroit News Monday, Senator Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.) - recently appointed to the Senate Energy Committee - made clear that fighting the climate crisis is her top priority. “Climate change is very real,” she confessed as she embraced cap and trade’s massive tax increase on Michigan industry - at the same time claiming, against all the evidence, that it would not lead to an increase in manufacturing costs or energy prices. “Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I’m flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes.”

stabenowWell, that is great. My top priority is alerting the public to the fact that you look like Blanche from the Golden Girls… blanche…nicely played Senator. Good luck with the volatility
